The Shops at Legacy
Plano, Texas
Creating a highly successful, mixed-use “Urban Village.”
In 1999, Fehmi Karahan asked UCR Urban to lease Legacy Town Center. The positioning of this new urbanism project was challenging. General Growth with Stonebriar Centre to the north and Taubman with The Shops at Willow Bend to the south, were already underway in their leasing efforts. Today however, due to the inspired efforts by the Karahan Companies, UCR Urban and others. Legacy Town Center is a highly successful, mixed-use “Urban Village.”
UCR Urban's efforts leased the lead restaurants, Bob's Steak and Chop House, Jasper's and Mi Cocina. UCR Urban's Jack Breard was instrumental in bringing the Angelika Film Center to the project giving the first phase the highly needed entertainment centerpiece.
