In his career, Mickey Ashmore has developed positive relationships with developers, retailers, architects and city planners across America. These relationships serve him well as founder/partner of UCR Urban. Known for his passion, creativity and communication skills, Mickey’s strong leadership built United Commercial Realty into the largest real estate services firm in Texas. To UCR Urban, he brings an unparalleled understanding of urban lifestyle developments, town centers and transit-oriented properties. His market knowledge, team orientation and strategic insight help create ongoing success for the firm’s clients. He has personally represented many outstanding properties, including the Knox Street redevelopment (Dallas), Mockingbird Station (Dallas), Midtowne Little Rock (Little Rock), Casa Linda Plaza (Dallas), The Shops at Highland Village (Highland Village) and both phases of the award-winning Southlake Town Square (Southlake). On the tenant representation side, Mickey has worked with names like adidas, AMC Theaters, Nike, Brio Tuscan Grill, Borders Books & Music, Viking, Design Within Reach, Zara and Z Gallerie.

Before joining UCR as president/CEO in 1992, he served as executive vice president for Hopkins-Shafer Company.

Mickey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Education degree from Texas A&M University - Commerce, formerly East Texas State University.
